It surprised me a little that the last walk to Craigow Hill was in 2020, and as is usual turned out to be a lot harder than my memory of the walk. The start was from Belbins Road and used the middle ridge to reach the high point between Golden and Simmons Hills. The descent was via Golden which was quite steep once part the summit ridge with loose gravel to add to the mix. It was brief respite along the Cross Rivulet valley floor before the steep ascent to Craigow, the upper section of which was easier going with a very dominant Ozothamnus understory.
The time to get to the top was 3:40, including a morning drink and other rests of about 0:50. This meant that lunch could not be too leisurely, but we did make much better time returning as it now involved 2 downs and only 1 up.
The weather was ideal with a cloud free sky and mild temperatures.

The GPS stopped recording at the Simmons Hill summit area so the left hand slope to about the 1.5k mark would be replicated in reverse on the right side
