The Jackson Bend Track was a lot steeper than I thought and it featured a lot of large ferns. The old track past Featherstone Cascades was a little easier to negotiate as several small overhanging limbs had been cut off. This section was 1.2k and took some 35 minutes to complete.
We arrived at a very busy Springs where Robyn and Mike were waiting to have lunch with us
The up route took 2:45 for 5.6k whilst the return way 1:20 and 1.2k
