This was a walk using some informal tracks that we were unfamiliar with. Joining them up makes a loop and learning from my navigation error on a previous visit avoided a repeat.
Starting at Fingerpost Track we walked around to cross Strickland Avenue where a track went downhill before reaching a wide track contouring through areas of Gorse infestation behind houses before picking up a mostly gently ascending track to Huon Road and the final leg back to the cars.
The morning had started with blue sky but it soon became cloudy, however it was only during the last 10 minutes that we had to resort the raincoats.
The 7k walk took a 3:20 including lunch.
