Hartz Peak
Thursday 28 April 2011
With a run of very pleasant autumn weather we had a couple of days free for a walk. Initially the thought was to go the Mount Field for the Fagus, but the thought of a horde of people there taking advantage of the public holidays we waited until later in the week and then decided to head in the other direction anyway. Thus it was to Hartz Peak that we went on; the last time there the rock work was only completed on the early part of the climb to the peak, but it was now finished and was a terrific job of work.
On the day Lake Esperance was calm and lovely and the views in all direction from the slopes of the peak were stunning and clear.
