A lot can change in 25 years, the bush can grow thicker and memories of what things were like can fade. Although the route from Thark down to the track below was mostly on the same line it was harder walking than previous or so it seemed. Two divergences can be seen on the route image and the second one (left side of image) would have added to the time taken
In 2014 it took about 40 minutes to the edge of Thark and an hour to get down the slope to the old track whilst this time it was much the same to the edge but much longer descending, taking 1:40 after removing the morning drink break.
The walk was 7.5k and elapsed time of 5:25
