Monday 27 June 2022 Started at Strickland Falls but some were hesitant to cross creek and used the Rivulet and Stumpside tracks to get to the Lower Sawmill track. From there to Sphinx Rock, Lenah Valley track with lunch at the Lost Freight. Back down using Fingerpost track to Bracken Lane and O'Gradys Falls and Rivulet Track back to cars. The uphill for the longer way was almost 2 hours and 5.5k, adding an extra 23m and 1.5k to the more direct way. The return was 3.34k and took 1hour. Monday 13 June 2022 It was the first really good day after a run of wet and windy weather making it good to be able to make good use of the day. Walked on track and over some pleasant, wooded country around the end of the deep gullies of the area. Tuesday 24 May 2022 A cool start with the breeze off Risdon Brook dam, but that soon changed once into the bushland the steep climb up and along the slope of Mount Direction. The summit area was bypassed, and we headed north out to the plateau where a circuit of the open terrain was made. On return we ascended to the top of Mount Direction for lunch before walking down the steep track to the dam. It remained a warm and sunny day, but what seemed like a smoke haze was noticeable.
