Thark North

As we were about to leave Big Bend a convoy of about 50 bikes went past tooting and waving on the Great Postie Bike Adventure.

Rather than follow the track beside Thark Ridge, this walk headed off at an early stage where terrain is not steep and gradually reached the open top at the northern end of Thark. From there we ascended to the higher part of the ridge, had a closer look at some large rock formations before descending to the saddle for lunch.
