Devils Throne

The regular route was used from Big Bend along beside Thark Ridge before the small climb to a saddle. From there the track headed down to Devils Throne and apart from the ascent and descent of Thark Ridge it was a reasonably level walk much of it over hard ground as far as Devils Throne.
During the drive from The Springs, it was misty but at big Bend we were just above it and the walk was in quite warm sunshine. On Devils Throne a light breeze made for a pleasant lunch, but it was back to warmer conditions once back in te bush. On descending from Big Bend the fog was again met with poor visibility much of the way to Fern Tree.
