I have visited Victors garden and hut site over many years and noticed the bush gradually taking over the site. It was once a walled compound with a door to get inside, but a lot has crumbled, and the original hut was destroyed by fire. Unfortunately, it was planted out with alien species, including pines that are now huge.
It took 2:15 to get there, but that includes nearly half an hour tea break. We were there wandering about the rock walled compound for an hour, before heading back. Being downhill and using a short cut we were able to to return in little over an hour. An elapsed 5hr was taken for the 8.3k, although once stops are eliminated the profile map reduces this to 7.1k.
