The flowers at the gorge were really splendid last year in Sep and early Oct and were again on this walk, although it remained cloudy most of the day. The walk went directly over to the eastern side of the gorge and returned that way, a reverse of all the previous walks I have done there to the eastern side, as far as I recall.
