East Risdon

After taking a closer view of the weather prediction for Tuesday, it seems that any showers would not be until evening, so it was a short notice walk to what is variously known as Government Hills and East Risdon State Reserve. A circuit walk via Shag Bay was made, including a rough pad down to a small bay immediately north of the end of Bedlam Walls then along to Porter Bay and over Government Hills.
In the early part of the walk we noticed the fire place, on the point to Shag Bay, being prepared and lit for a smoking ceremony or some celebration by a group of first nations men.
